Zoey Xinyue Zhou is known for her versatile repertoire spanning vocal, instrumental, and orchestral music. Her performances have graced prestigious venues across North America, Europe and Asia, including stages as Carnegie Hall, Alice Tully Hall, Metropolitan Opera Club, Kaufman Music Center, Park Avenue Armory and Caramoor Center for Music and the Arts. 

Currently, she works as a staff pianist at The Juilliard School’s college, pre-college and extension divisions. She frequently performs in recitals with members of the New York Philharmonic, the Metropolitan Opera Orchestra and the New Jersey Symphony. In the past season, she performed in productions of Emilié by Kaija Saariaho at the Catapult Opera and 11,000 Strings by Georg Friedrich Haas at the Park Avenue Armory, which was described as ‘astonishingly strange and profoundly captivating’ by The New York Times. She serves as a staff pianist for the Shared Voices Program of Denyce Graves Foundation in 2026 and rehearsal pianist for Long Island Concert Orchestra featuring conductor Enrico Fagone, violinist Frank Huang and bassist Timothy Cobb in 2024.

Zoey is an avid collaborator with double bass. She was a staff pianist for the 2025 International Society of Bassists Competition. In addition, she has been the official accompanist for the double bass entrance auditions at The Juilliard School. She works closely with renowned bass performers and pedagogues, including Timothy Cobb, Harold Robinson, Rex Surany, Joseph Conyers, Graham Mitchell, and Tom Goodman.

Previously, she participated in prestigious programs such as the Franz-Schubert-Institut, the Aspen Music Festival and School, the Schwab Vocal Rising Stars at Caramoor and the Spoleto Festival USA. Zoey holds a bachelor’s degree from the Royal Academy of Music in London and master’s degree from The Juilliard School, where she was a recipient of Bori Grant for language study in Europe and an exchange student at Columbia University.
